Storm Tracker Forecast: Rain and snow continues today
Rain and snow is continuing to fall this morning, but will be wrapping up later today. We ll have a break from the rain on Tuesday and Wednesday. More wet weather is expected to arrive on Thursday, with another wet system on Friday.

Grab your umbrella, get those chains handy, and be prepared for rain and snow in your Monday forecast. The heaviest of the rain and snow has already occured from the current system across northern California, but lingering rain and snow showers are expected to persist through the day. Snow levels are fairly low this morning, and some models are even hinting at a mix of rain and snow down into the valley early to mid day. Snow levels are projected to be down to 500 in the Northern Mountains, down to 1000 in the Shasta County mountains, and down to as low as 1800 in the Sierra foothills. Ah yes, snow in March. Fun stuff, right? The record amount of snow to fall on March 15th in Waterloo is 9.5. That record was set in 1923 and I think it's safe that record will hold.
