In its continued efforts to fight food insecurity on campus, Barstow Community College will hold a holiday meal giveaway on Thursday for 100 currently enrolled students.
“With the amount of students who showed up for the Thanksgiving meal, we knew we had to do all that we could to provide and increase the number of meals for the (upcoming) holiday,” said BCC spokesperson Amanda Simpson.
The giveaway is a drive-thru event scheduled for 2 to 5 p.m. in the upper parking lot of the BCC campus.
The BCC Food Pantry, which is part of the college’s Special Programs & Services Department, has opened the meal giveaway to the first 100 currently enrolled students. Being that there are limited quantities of food, students should arrive early.
