(WAFF) - Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials confirm two people were killed in a wreck involving seven cars in Cullman County Thursday night. Nickey Nile Miller, 70, and Brenda Nickens Miller, 72, were pronounced dead on the scene after their car was rear-ended by a Ford F-350. The Millers were both from Joppa. The impact of the truck was so hard, it caused the Miller’s car to rear-end a KIA in front of it. The driver of the KIA was taken to a nearby hospital for minor injuries.

Nickey Nile Miller, 70, of Joppa died in wreck near Alabama 69 in Dodge City around 5 p.m. after the 2011 Chevy Traverse he was driving was struck in the rear by a 2008 Ford F-350, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency. Brenda Nickens Miller, 72, also of Joppa, was a passenger in the Traverse and was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck. The Traverse struck a 2018 Kia Rio in the rear after it was hit, ALEA said.

(WAFF) - If you’re driving down I-65 in Cullman County, you may need to reroute. Officials with the Cullman County Sheriff’s Office and ALGO confirm a major crash occurred at I-65 NB just north of exit 299 near a rest stop. The crash happened just before 5 p.m. and crews are still working to clear the scene. Officials advise motorists to avoid the area and reroute if possible.
