Ms Roselyn Acaa, a resident of Lukodi Trading Centre, who lost her two sons during the two-decade insurgency, said prosecuting Ongwen was a waste of time and that it instead reignites the traumatic experiences the victims suffered.
“I have nothing to do with him (Ongwen) and his trial is to the disadvantage of many of us like me who lost children. They are wasting time and bringing back the bad memories to haunt us again,” Ms Acaa said.

A 10-year-old girl, who was suffering with a big swelling on her right cheek, has received financial and medical assistance following a Daily Monitor story.
Good Samaritans have provided clothing, bedding and school fees to Priscilla Akongo, 10, who says she was abandoned by her parents after she developed the strange swelling. She is also undergoing an operation at Lacor hospital to remove the swelling.
On July 3, 2020, Daily Monitor published a story depicting the worrying condition of Akongo, who lived in Ayago Parish, East Division, Lira City. Her right cheek started swelling around 2013, when Akongo had just turned two years.
