Man kills self after stabbing two daughters in Sanda

LAHORE:A man killed his two daughters and later committed suicide in Rajgarh Sanda over poverty here on Wednesday.
The victims identified as 34-year-old Sadia and 30-year-old Aqsa. They were stabbed to death by their father. The victims were disabled. Accused Zia also stabbed himself to death after murdering his daughters. The bodies were shifted to morgue for autopsy.
Two girls shot dead: Two girls were shot dead by an unidentified youth in their house in Factory Area on Wednesday.The victims were identified as Kainat, 25, and Aiman, daughters of Saleem of Gulistan Colony, Ghazi Road Walton, Factory Area.

LAHORE: The impact of Saturday’s nationwide power breakdown persisted on Sunday as a number of rural and urban areas remained without power supply despite efforts by the field formations of the state-owned National Transmission and Despatch Company (NTDC).
The NTDC is responsible for power evacuation from plants and supplying to the distribution system of distribution companies (Discos) across the country.

RAWALPINDI: Nine localities in the district were placed under smart lockdown on Friday after the number of patients in these areas increased in the last two weeks.
Besides, eight people lost their battle against Covid-19 in the twin cities.
According to the district administration spokesperson, six areas fall in Rawalpindi, two in Taxila and one in Kallar Syedan. The areas are Street No. 7 in Muslim Town, street nos 6 and 8 in Chaklala Scheme-III, street nos 10 and 19 in Airport Housing Scheme, New Morgah Road, Street No. 2 in Zaman Colony, Allahabad, Gulshan Khursheed on Karamabad Road, Jaba Kanoha Village in Kallar Syedan, Kohsar Colony in Taxila and Street No. 4 in Gulistan Colony in Wah Cantonment.

The Government of Punjab has imposed a smart lockdown in six cities as it continues to battle the novel coronavirus.
Lockdown has been imposed in 22 neighbourhoods in Lahore, nine in Rawalpindi, four in Gujranwala and three in Gujrat.
The entry and exit points of the locations have been sealed. The timings for the shops is as follows:
Grocery stores, fruits and vegetable shops, and petrol pumps will be open from 9am to 7pm, seven days a week.
