CHESAPEAKE, Va. A 28-year-old man is dead following a shooting outside of his residence Sunday evening.
The shooting happened around 4:40 p.m. in the 2000 block of Pond Lane.
Chesapeake Police found Davon Person, of Chesapeake, inside the residence. He d been shot and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said they learned Person was shot outside his home. He then went inside where authorities later found him.
Police are seeking the public s help to locate a vehicle of interest. It is described as a black Mercedes SUV.

CHESAPEAKE, Va. - Chesapeake Police are investigating a homicide that took place Sunday afternoon.
At 4:40 p.m., officials were called to the 2000 block of Pond Lane for shots fired in the area.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a man inside a home who had been shot. The man, 28-year-old Davon Person, of Chesapeake, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators learned Person was shot outside his home and went into his home where he was later found by police.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - Virginia Beach Police have arrested a Newport News man in connection to a shooting that took place early Sunday morning.
On July 25, around 1:30 a.m., second precinct officers on patrol at the Oceanfront heard gunfire coming from the 1800 block of Pacific Avenue.
Officers located shell casings near the intersection of Pacific Avenue and 18
