Shreveport Police on the Hunt for Domestic Abuse Suspect
On the day of May 10th, a man named Lynn Armstrong was accused of battering his domestic partner during a home invasion. Now Shreveport Police are actively trying to hunt him down.
Detectives now have warrants for the arrest of the suspected domestic abuser. The warrants are charging Lynn Armstrong (5-29-1980) with the crimes of Home Invasion, Aggravated Assault with Firearm, Simple Battery, Domestic Abuse Battery with Child Endangerment, and Criminal Property Damage.

Shreveport Set to Issue Body Cameras to All Officers
It won t be long before Shreveport police officers will soon be wearing body cameras. The City will begin equipping officers with this technology this summer.
Once these cameras are rolled out, officers will be required to record all contacts with citizens while on duty. The video and audio captured during these encounters can be used in both criminal and internal investigations.
Mayor Adrian Perkins says
Body cameras will assist officers with evidence gathering and improve the public’s trust in law enforcement. This will also serve as an integral tool to provide transparency and resolve allegations of misconduct.
Bossier Vehicle Burglars Caught on Camera
Bossier Sheriffs are asking for the public s assistance in identifying two burglary suspects. The suspects were caught on camera pulling car door handles on May 15th in the Dogwood South Subdivision.
BPSO Detectives were able to obtain the video footage that was taken on a Ring security camera at a residence in the Dogwood Subdivision. Seems around 3:30 a.m. Saturday morning the security camera was able to catch two individuals walking up to parked vehicles on private property testing the door handles to see if they were locked. Thankfully the vehicles in the video were securely locked, but the pair moved up the street and found vehicles that were unlocked and burglarized them. The two were able to get away with stole a gun, cash, and a backpack.
2 Killed in North Shreveport Shooting
Shreveport police are investigating a double murder on the north side of the city. Officers were called to the Northside Villa Apartments on North Market. This call came in at about 9:30pm Wednesday night.
One person was found dead inside an apartment and another victim was found dead outside. Residents reported hearing several shots fired during the incident.
Details about what sparked the shooting have not been released. The identities of the victims have not yet been released. The Caddo Parish Coroner s Office will perform autopsies on both victims.
