A drug trafficking investigation conducted by members of the Oxford Ontario Provincial Police, Community Street Crimes Unit, and Woodstock Police Service Drugs and Intelligence Unit, has resulted in a total of 35 charges being laid against eight individuals, including three from Tillsonburg and one from Courtland.
On May 12, members from the Oxford OPP and neighbouring detachments CSCU’s, West Region Emergency Response Team, Tactics and Rescue Unit, Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Canine Unit, Urban Search and Rescue Team, Aviation Services, West Region Crime and uniform members from Woodstock Police and Oxford OPP executed several search warrants in Oxford County, Elgin County and the City of Woodstock.
KITCHENER Eight people in southwestern Ontario were charged Wednesday as part of a joint investigation between Ontario Provincial Police and Woodstock police where officials seized more than $140,000 in illegal drugs and weapons. Numerous search warrants were executed earlier this morning by Oxford OPP community street crimes unit and neighbouring detachments in Tillsonburg, Elgin County and the city of Woodstock, Inspector Anthony Hymers, Detachment Commander with the Oxford OPP, said in a video posted to Twitter. Items seized in the investigation include suspected fentanyl, cocaine, meth, cannabis, prohibited weapons and one vehicle. In total, 10 people were arrested as part of the investigation, police said.
Thunder Bay police charge multiple people in a series of recent drug busts
Several people from Thunder Bay and southern Ontario are facing charges after a series of recent drug busts in the city, police said.

Several people from Thunder Bay and southern Ontario are facing charges after a series of recent drug busts in the city, police said.
The busts came after a drug trafficking investigation by the Thunder Bay Police Intelligence unit and Ontario Provincial Police s (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau.

Two Kapuskasing residents were arrested this week after police executed a search warrant and seized quantities of what they believe to be cocaine.
On May 6, at approximately 9:18 a.m. members of the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau and the Community Street Crime Unit along with members of James Bay Detachments of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrant at a residence in the Town of Kapuskasing.

A search of the residence led to the seizure of what is suspected to be cocaine with a street value of $1,920.

Officers with the Kenora OPP have made an $1,100 drug bust in the City of Kenora, and a 30-year-old resident is facing charges.
The Kenora OPP say on April 28 at 9 p.m., officers with the OPP Community Street Crime Unit and Organized Crime & Enforcement Bureau executed a search warrant in the 700 block of Eighth Avenue South, as a result of an ongoing investigation.
As a result, officers seized roughly $1,100 worth of illegal drugs and roughly $550 in Canadian Currency and drug paraphernalia.
The OPP have charged 30-year-old Kevin Wetendorf with:
- possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking – methamphetamine,
