Deadline extended for assistance with home heating costs through Wyoming DFS By Greg Hirst on March 2, 2021 (Shutterstock) CASPER, Wyo Deadlines have been extended for Wyoming residents to get assistance with  home heating energy bills through the Department of Family Services. The state agency announced Tuesday that applications for assistance through the Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LIEAP) for the 2020-2021 season will be accepted until March 31. “We extended the application period for this season only for two reasons,” says LIEAP manager Brenda Ilg. “First, we expect there to be continued cold weather, and we are seeing some increases in home heating costs. Second, we are still feeling the economic impacts from the Coronavirus Pandemic.”
