LA CROSSE, Wis. (WKBT) The Diocese of La Crosse lifted a requirement for face coverings for those attending Mass in new guidelines released this week; however, it said wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance is “highly encouraged for unvaccinated persons.”
The diocese released updated guidelines Tuesday. They call on people with fever or flu-like symptoms to not attend Mass and said “capacity at Mass should be determined according to recommended social distancing and safety precautions.”
It said “vaccinated-only” Masses are not allowed and prohibited checking the vaccine status of Mass attendees; however, it also said that pastors could consider designated a Mass time for those seeking more stringent precautions against COVID-19.
