The property located at 42A along Muritala Mohammed Highway in Calabar which housed the People’s Democratic Party Secretariat in Cross River was on Saturday morning painted into All Progressive Congress, APC, Colours.
Vanguard gathered that the building popularly known as the PDP Secretariat was cordoned off by heavily armed security operatives while the workers continued their painting of the building.
This is coming three days after the governor, Prof Ben Ayade dumped the PDP for APC and he has gone a step further to convert the PDP secretariat to that of the Ruling party which he recently joined.

Cross River State Police Command has bursted a gang of drug dealers and peddlers in Calabar in what seemed like a sting operation arresting 15 suspects.
During a sting operation led by the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Sikiru Akande on Sunday, a syndicate suspected to be drug dealers were bursted inside the popular Watt market.
CP Akande who confirmed the successful operation to Vanguard said it was a covert operation with his team adding that there was nothing special as they were only doing due diligence based on concrete intelligence.

The cash is expected to be shared among twenty-one families of the deceased.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the Governor’s Special Assistant on Research and documentation, Essien Nduese.
The Governor according to the statement announced the donation at the command headquarters, Ikot Akpanabia, Uyo, during a visit over the attacks on security formations in the state.
It added that the governor expressed concern over the lives of officers wasted and urged them to rise to the occasion by containing the challenges.
The statement read, “Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, today visited the State Police Headquarters, Uyo to identify with the command over the attacks on security formations in the state.
