The Bitterne Park Hotel in Cobden Avenue has had its licence revoked after 40 people were found drinking at the venue during a Christmas Eve party last year. The police described the incident as a blatant disregard” for Coronavirus restrictions and fined the licensees £1,000. Business owners apologised and said things got out of hand . But licensing bosses in the city said the incident was serious and decided to revoke the venue s licence.

Woolston Trades and Labour club A SOUTHAMPTON club has been slapped with a £1,000 fine for breaching covid restrictions, according to police. Woolston Trades and Labour Club is said to have thrown a party for more than 30 people on Friday, December 18. Police officers who visited the venue in Leighton Road are reported to have found people mixing indoors. A £1,000 fixed penalty notice has been issued for breaching the health restrictions in place in a Tier 2 area. PC Mark Hawley said: “It is very disappointing that a licensed premises has been in breach of the clear guidelines around hospitality that are designed to keep everyone safe.
