SEATTLE A Seattle man is among the dozens of protesters facing federal charges after last week s riot in Washington D.C.
On Jan. 6, a pro-Trump mob stormed the nation s Capitol in Washington D.C., ransacking congressional offices in an attempt to overturn the November General Election and President-elect Joe Biden s victory over Donald Trump.
Congress had to be evacuated for hours. Ultimately, 5 people died and at least 69 were arrested in the following week including a lone man from Washington.
Approximately 40 charged in Superior Court

Thirteen individuals have been charged so far in federal court in the District of Columbia related to crimes committed at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C, on Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2021. In addition to those who have been charged, additional complaints have been submitted and investigations are ongoing.

Since the January 6th riots at the Capitol building that left five people dead, the Justice Department has charged a total of 46 people for their alleged involvement.
The Department of Justice Friday
published a page on its website that includes all those charged in connection with the Capitol riots. As of Friday afternoon, the page includes the names of 46 people.
