Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. has named Bruce Chinn as its new CEO, effective April 1. Chinn currently is president of Chevron Chemicals.
Materials maker Chevron Phillips Chemical Co. has named Bruce Chinn as its new CEO, effective April 1.
Chinn currently is president of Chevron Chemicals, a unit of CP Chem partner firm Chevron Corp. He s been with Chevron since 2006 and has more than 35 years of chemical industry experience.
CP Chem is a major supplier of polyethylene and related feedstocks and specialty chemicals based in The Woodlands, Texas. The firm is a 50-50 joint venture between energy firms Chevron and Phillips 66. CP Chem posted sales of about $8.3 billion in 2020.

Polymers and petrochemicals maker Chevron Phillips Chemical named Bruce Chinn, the president of its Chevron Chemicals business, to serve as its next chief executive officer effective April 1. In addition to the appointment, the company announced Monday that its current CEO and president, Mark Lashier, is preparing to retire.
“It has been a great privilege to serve as president and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical,” Lashier said in a release. “From growing our world class international manufacturing asset base to advancing key sustainability initiatives, I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved together.”

Phillips 66 has named Mark Lashier, President and CEO of Chevron Phillips Chemical Company LLC, as its President and Chief Operating Officer effective 1 April.

Lashier, who has over 30 years of energy industry experience, has served as CPChem’s CEO since 2017. He joined the global petrochemical joint venture, in which Phillips 66 owns a 50% interest, in 2000. At CPChem he has served as Executive Vice President of Olefins and Polyolefins; Senior Vice President of Specialties, Aromatics and Styrenics; Vice President of Corporate Planning and Development; and Regional Manager of Asia. He began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company as a research engineer.
