Angela Cole Westhoff chosen to lead Maine Health Care Association
The board of directors of the Maine Health Care Association has selected
Angela Cole Westhoff of Sidney to be the association’s next president and chief executive. She will succeed Rick Erb, who is retiring after 20 years with MHCA. Westhoff has most recently served as executive director of the Maine Dental Association and had held a similar position with the Maine Osteopathic Association. Wanda Pelkey, chair of the MHCA board of directors, cited Westhoff’s knowledge and skills as a terrific complement to an experienced and dedicated MHCA team.

To qualify for 2020 The Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital Excellence in Pediatric Care honors, Pen Bay Pediatrics, a department of Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC), had to meet specific goals. These included scheduling patients for all recommended well child visits, screening for adverse childhood experiences and providing babies and toddlers with their full series of vaccines before their second birthday.

AUGUSTA Governor Janet Mills has nominated Dr. Mark Fourre, of Camden, for appointment to the Maine Community College System Board of Trustees.
Dr. Mark Fourre is the president of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance, medical director of Lincoln Medical Partners, president and chair of the Board of Community Physicians of Maine, and chief health affairs officer of MaineHealth.
He served as chief medical officer for LincolnHealth, senior medial director of clinical integration at MaineHealth and chief of emergency medicine at Miles Memorial Hospital and St. Andrew’s Hospital.
Fourre received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Minnesota and Doctorate from the University of Minnesota Medical School.
