CAHNRS announces 2021 faculty/staff award winners | WSU Insider | Washington State University

May 10, 2021 Eleven individuals, and one team of 14 earned recognition for their exceptional contributions to research, teaching, and Extension. They were celebrated last week as the 2021 Faculty and Staff Award Winners in WSU’s College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences. Administrative Professional Excellence Award Heather MacDermott Havey, director of the WSU Children’s Center, is responsible for the daily operations of the Center, including  fiscal sustainability, family engagement, and child outcomes. AP Technical Staff Excellence Award Jennifer Kiser, a lab manager in the Department of Animal Sciences, first arrived at WSU in 2013 to pursue a master’s degree and was offered the lab manager position. She continues the research she enjoys and works with students.

The Amusement Park Trailer: Romero s Lost Movie is Headed to Shudder – /Film

In the 1970s,  Night of the Living Dead director  George A. Romero was commissioned by the Lutheran Society to make a movie – the filmmaker’s only work-for-hire film in his entire career. That film, titled  The Amusement Park, was a twisted meditation on ageism, and it was thought to be lost. But recently, Romero’s  Amusement Park was rediscovered and remastered – and now it’s headed to Shudder. It’s part of the horror streaming service’s summer slate, and there’s a great new trailer for you to watch below. The Amusement Park Trailer By all accounts,  The Amusement Park isn’t a horror movie in the traditional sense. But gosh darn it, this is a well-cut trailer.
