PTI-led govt wins 10 out of 12 K-P seats; BAP, allies secure eight out of 12 slots in Balochistan

The incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf led government won 10 out of 12 Senate seats from Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa whereas the Balochistan Awami Party and its allies managed to win eight out of 12 seats in Balochistan.
The opposition parties in K-P proved to be a disappointment yet again by only winning two seats while the opposition in Balochistan only won four.

In K-P, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz’s (PML-N) candidate Abbas Afridi, who was considered to be a powerful contestant along with BAP candidate Taj Muhammad Afridi lost. PTI got five out of seven general seats, two women seats, two technocrat seats and one minority seat as well.

Singapore, Feb 17 (PTI) An Indian-origin doctor, who became internationally renowned as an expert on stopping the spread of communicable diseases via air travel, has died, a media report said.
Dr Jarnail Singh, 67, was the first chairman of the Civil Aviation Medical Board of the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and headed several other local and global aviation medicine organisations.

While keeping up with his schooling for a diploma in business administration at Singapore Polytechnic, Harsh Dalal, as CEO, has built 120-employee Team Labs business across eight cities. The software development company s clients include the Coca-Cola Company, Google and Hilton, Channel News Asia reported on Sunday, featuring Dalal among young entrepreneurs shaping Singapore into a smart nation and for running a USD 25 million tech startup under “On The Red Dot” finds out programme.
