An 8-year-old boy was left “shaken” after two attempted abductions took place within minutes of each other in Beckenham. Police confirmed that the boy was approached by an unknown man at around 4.30pm in the wooded area of Kelsey Park on Friday, April 30. According to reports, the man told the Clare House Primary School pupil to go with him, before fleeing after the 8-year-old shouted to a friend. The boy was unharmed in the incident but “understandably shaken”, police said.
Croydon Road Recreation Ground Officers are in contact with his family and school to ensure the appropriate support is provided.
