Government has compiled a new proposed list of critical skills, which should make it easier for some overseas workers to get visas to work and live in South Africa.
The list was last updated in 2014.
New additions include jobs like general accountant, investment manager, digital artist, and chef.

On Thursday, South Africa finally released a proposed new list of critical skills that can make it easier for foreigners in certain jobs to work here.
Those who meet the requirements on the list can get easier access to a visa to work and live in South Africa.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) through the support of the National Council for Curriculum Curriculum and Assessment (NACCA) in collaboration with the Ghana National Council of Private Schools (GNACOPS) have commissioned 200 Master Trainers to train all private school teachers on the implementation of Common Core Programme (CCP) in the country.
The incident happened on Friday 22nd January 2021 at the closing ceremony of the 5-day Residential CCP Master Training Programme Workshop for Private Schools which was held in Accra at the Atomic Energy Commission.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) on Monday said it has joined hands with the government of India for skilling of youths.
The company has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Directorate General of Training (DGT), Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship to develop skills among youth under the Flexi-MoU Scheme of the government of India, TKM said in a statement.
Under the Flexi-MoU scheme, TKM is identified as Industrial Training Provider (ITP) to develop skilled human resources for manufacturing companies and first-time entrepreneurs, it added.
