Pic: Pixabay A HUNDRED hairdressers and beauticians are being trained to spot the signs of domestic abuse and support survivors as part of a Voices Against Domestic Abuse campaign. Hair and beauty professionals have a unique opportunity to support their clients with a range of issues including domestic abuse, as regular customers often feel more comfortable sharing aspects of their lives with them, rather than friends or family. It’s an important avenue to explore, as in the UK as many as one in four women and one in six men have experienced domestic abuse, while three women are murdered each week and three take their own lives.
