Ape rescue centre Monkey World will be welcoming visitors back through its doors. The park in Wareham is limiting visitor numbers to ensure safety and no one will be admitted at the gate without pre-booking. All individuals must be booked in including under threes. All visitors should wear a face mask or covering when visiting apart from when seated in dining and picnic areas. A statement on the Monkey World website reads: “Our rescued primates can also get infected by Covid-19 and suffer the same effects as people. Our Primate Care Staff and rescued monkeys and apes are vulnerable. “At this time when lock down restrictions are starting to be relaxed, we are concerned that there will be a spike in infection rates as has happened in different parts of the country and worldwide.
