Subscriber only The Queensland Rugby League will hold an urgent meeting with clubs after an infamous alleged attack at a junior game which left a father hospitalised with his face floating around . Four men were charged over the alleged violent assault of Wynnum s Josh Jones at an Under-13 game between Wynnum Manly and Logan Brothers on May 9. The 35-year-old suffered two broken eye sockets, a fractured cheek and a broken nose. Brisbane father Josh Jones, who was left hospitalised after being allegedly assaulted at a junior rugby league game. While an independent QRL panel continues its investigations into the matter, a meeting to help support the clubs and their junior members will be held at QRL Headquarters later today.

The player revolt against Peter V’landys and the NRL administration has cost the players around $140,000 after the production of a behind-the-scenes State of Origin documentary was cancelled at the 11th hour. The NRL has been working for two years to try and get the documentary off the ground, and it seemed as though the planets were aligning for it to happen this year.
