Several volunteers from different organisations in the city came together to send relief material to flood-affected areas in North Karnataka and Maharashtra. The group which conducted a meeting on Saturday, got together to gather relief materials and left on a journey to the flood affected areas on Monday night.
About 13 volunteers from
Nawayath club and
Chiplun in Maharashtra. The initiative was taken by
Mussadiq Ikkeri, a 69-year-old volunteer who called all the volunteers together and started preparing for the material.
