State govt. sets the ball rolling for land resurvey covering 1.26 lakh sq km in a bid to clean up and update old records, starting with agricultural fields
The Andhra Pradesh government’s decision to do a comprehensive resurvey of lands assumes significance as the last such exercise dates back to almost a century. The present target is to map lands in more than 17,340 villages in three phases and complete it by August 2023.

VIJAYAWADA: The Andhra Pradesh government on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Survey of India for the implementation of ‘YSR Jagananna Saswatha Bhoomi Hakku-Bhoomi Rakshana , scheduled for launch on December 21.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy said that they would be conducting a comprehensive survey which will be written in golden letters as a survey of such a magnitude is being conducted after almost 100 years.
