COVID-19: Oxygen plant establsihed at hospital in J-K s Kupwara ANI | Updated: Apr 25, 2021 09:41 IST Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 25 (ANI): Amid increase in the demand for medical oxygen, the Jammu and Kashmir administration has set up an oxygen plant at the Sub-district Hospital in Jammu and Kashmir s Kupwara district. Dr Sheikh Iqbal, the Consultant Physician at the sub-district Hospital informed that the oxygen plant can generate 1000 liters of oxygen per minute. There is a shortage of medical oxygen across the country. This oxygen plant here will be beneficial for every patient who has breathing-related issues. This will also decrease the referrals, Dr Iqbal said.

Army rescues civil tractor from stream in J-K s Kupwara ANI | Updated: Apr 18, 2021 19:18 IST Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 18 (ANI): Indian Army on Sunday rescued a tractor that had skidded off into a stream in Jammu and Kashmir s Kupwara. The tractor, with sand bags, strayed into the Muhri Nala near Kalaroos and got stuck in the middle of gushing waters. An Army patrl, after noticing the incident, ushed to the spot to lend a helping hand to the locals. A civil tractor with trolly filled with sand belonging to Guljar Ahmed Khan skidded off into Muhri Nala as the bank was sliding due to rain. It couldn t recover itself due to rapid flow in Nala, Army said in a statement.

Indian Army, BSF foil Pak-sponsored narco-smuggling operation in J-K s Kupwara, recovers narcotics worth Rs 50 crore ANI | Updated: Apr 14, 2021 17:27 IST Kupwara (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], April 14 (ANI): The Indian Army and the Border Security Force (BSF) on Tuesday foiled a Pakistan-sponsored narcotics smuggling attempt along the Line of Control in Karnah forests and recovered 10 kg of narcotics, estimated to be approximately Rs 50 crore. According to an official statement, this is the second consecutive busting of Pakistan-sponsored Narco Terror Model in the past week. A 10 kg heroin consignment was recovered from the same general area a week ago in a joint operation, however, this time the smugglers were spotted carrying the narcotics along the Line of Control (LoC).
