(Release) - Motorists planning to utilize the WYO 211/Horse Creek Road interchange on Interstate 25 (exit 16) this summer should expect delays as crews with Reiman Corp. and the Wyoming Department of Transportation begin a bridge rehabilitation project on Monday, July 12, weather permitting. The project includes replacing the bridge deck, guardrail and approach slabs. The extensive bridge work will necessitate a full closure of the structure crossing I-25 for approximately 2-3 months. Detours will be in place but may add extra travel time for motorists to reach their destinations. Obey all posted signage and traffic control and avoid distractions like cell phones in work zones.

WYDOT: Seasonal paving operations begin around Laramie County in May By Greg Hirst on May 3, 2021 (Shutterstock) CASPER, Wyo Seasonal paving operations in various locations around Laramie County will begin in the month of May, the Wyoming Department of Transportation said in release Monday. “Weather permitting, work will begin Wednesday near Albin on Wyoming Highway 216 between mile markers 12.6-13,” the release said. “After crews wrap up there, work will begin on WYO 214 near Carpenter between mile markers 6.3-7.1.” Following are other locations in Laramie County maintenance crews plan to pave this year not necessarily in project order: Article continues below. Rapid City man identified as victim in fatal motorcycle crash in Pennington County A Rapid City man has been identified as the victim in a fatal rollover motorcycle crash in Pennington County on April 4, according to the Department of Public Safety. The crash occurred at 12:34 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 32 and Horse Creek Road, 32 miles west of Rapid City, DPS spokesman Tony Mangan said. According to Mangan, 58-year old Anthony Robinson, Sr., was driving a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle southbound when it went off the roadway and rolled. Robinson, Sr. was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene, Mangan said.

RAPID CITY, S.D. – A Rapid City man has been identified as the person who died Sunday afternoon in a motorcycle crash west of Rapid City. Preliminary crash information indicates a 2014 Harley-Davidson Road King motorcycle was southbound on Horse Creek Road when the motorcycle went off the roadway and rolled.
