Scenic City Montessori Opening Aug. 23 With Middle, High School Wednesday, July 7, 2021 Scenic City Montessori, a new, private Montessori middle and high school, the only one of its kind in Chattanooga, is opening Aug. 23. Their hope is to grow from 60-120 students in the coming years but expect the first few years to be much smaller as they start out. Montessori secondary programs encompass project based learning, Socratic seminars, entrepreneurial skills, citizenship, social/emotional skills, executive functioning development, and love of learning while meeting all Tennessee state standards, officials said.   Our Montessori trained teachers implement an inquiry based program, meet the developmental needs of the adolescent, and awaken individual student interests, administrators stated.
