Arnab Goswami has again been grabbing headlines after his WhatsApp chats were allegedly leaked online. Screenshots of chats between the Republic TV honcho and ex-BARC CEO, Partho Dasgupta have gone viral. It has been alleged that Goswami and Dasgupta were together involved in a TRP scam.
Dasgupta allegedly had directed BARC executives to change the ratings favouring Arnab Goswami s – Republic Bharat and Republic TV. In exchange, Arnab has allegedly shared many big political developments, shuffles, changes to the former BARC chief.

Apart from Goswami and Dasgupta, the allege leaked chats also show a conversation between BARC s former chief operating officer Romil Ramgarhia and Republic TV CEO Vikas Khanchandani. Apart from allegedly sharing the highest level of data with the Republic, the chat shows how policies were altered to make sure the Republic appears to be on top.

Indian police have registered a case against a top television news anchor for inciting religious discord after he criticised opposition leader Sonia Gandhi during a show about a vigilante attack in which Hindu holy men were killed.
Arnab Goswami, who is editor of the fiercely nationalist Republic Bharat TV and is known for shouting at guests on his nightly show, has been accused of promoting hatred between religious groups, according to the police complaint filed late on Wednesday.

Mumbai: A Mumbai court, while rejecting the bail plea of Broadcast Audience Research Council s (BARC) former CEO Partho Dasgupta, has observed that he played a vital role in the alleged Television Rating Points (TRP) manipulation scam.
The court passed the order on 4 January and a copy of it was made available on Wednesday. Dasgupta was arrested by Mumbai Police last month. Chief metropolitan magistrate Sudhir Bhajipale on Monday rejected his bail plea.
