To the constituents of District 14, we hope this message finds everyone enjoying the return of spring weather.
As your District 14 officers, our goal is to organize the representation of this district so that it becomes better aligned with its constituents. Following the busyness of the spring season our intent is to have a meeting to start the organization process involving as many of the District 14 constituents as possible.
Special election runoff to succeed late U.S. Rep. Ron Wright set for July 27

AUSTIN, Texas - Gov. Greg Abbott has selected July 27
as the date of the special election runoff to replace the late U.S. Rep. Ron Wright, R-Arlington.
Early voting starts July 19.
The runoff features two Republicans: Wright s widow, Susan Wright, and state Rep. Jake Ellzey of Waxahachie. Susan Wright, a member of the State Republican Executive Committee, finished first in the May 1 special election, which included 23 candidates. She got 19% of the vote, while Ellzey came in second with 14%.
Susan Wright has the backing of former President Donald Trump, who endorsed her in the closing days before the initial contest.

I honestly don’t know where to start. So, I’ll just start here. I’ll start with the fact that some folks will tell you lies and not even bat an eye.
Take, for example, U.S. Rep. Barry Moore and his comments about current efforts to grant statehood to Washington D.C. Moore refers to these efforts as the “Democrats’ latest attempt to make the District of Columbia a state a thinly veiled effort to increase their razor-thin majority in the U.S. Senate.”
