As COVID-19 vaccines continue to be administered, concerts are starting to come back to Oklahoma after more than a year of relative silence due to the pandemic.
In Oklahoma City, Chesapeake Energy Arena announced last week its first new addition to its concert calendar in months: Country music star Kane Brown will be bringing his Blessed and Free Tour to The Peake on Oct. 14 with special guests Jordan Davis and Restless Road. Tickets are on sale as of today through Ticketmaster.
The Peake is hosting the PBR Express Ranches Invitational this weekend with the arena at 45% capacity and masks required, and the venue announced today that the sports comedy group Dude Perfect has made a date in OKC on Oct. 1, with tickets on sale at 10 a.m. April 21 at http://bit.ly/DudeOKC.

If you like photography as much as I do, go to Norman to see a new exhibit exploring it as an art form from 19th-century Europe through the present at the University of Oklahoma’s Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
“Long Exposure: A Century of Pictorialism” looks at photography from the beginning of the movement in 19th-century Europe to today’s filter-heavy social applications like Instagram. It will be on display through June 27.
Byron Price, interim director of the museum, who teaches courses in the art and photography of the American West at OU, said in a news release that the exhibition “not only brings together a group of prominent photographers and compelling images but also reflects the overall quality of the museum’s growing collection of photography.”

The Oklahoma City Philharmonic is Under Pressure to Rock You this weekend, so bring Somebody to Love to its shows featuring songs by the iconic group Queen.
The OKC Phil presentation of “Windborne Music’s The Music of Queen” just added a 2 p.m. Saturday matinee along with its 8 p.m. shows Friday and Saturday at the Civic Center Music Hall. The show features vocalist Brody Dolynik and guest conductor Brent Havens. If you can’t make the socially distanced show live, purchase the Digital Stream for viewing through April 18.
