We witnessed history this past Tuesday.
A jury convicted former Minneapolis police officer, Derek Chauvin, in the murder of George Floyd. It really shouldn’t have been than historic.
There was overwhelming evidence, cell phone video recordings from bystanders and numerous body camera videos worn by officers on the scene.
There was testimony from numerous experts who described exactly how Mr. Floyd was killed. It was as close as you could come to an open and shut case.
But it was historic.
