Pizza Hut has launched the Hut Lane: a dedicated digital pickup window at 1,500+ locations around the country, with more on the way. The feature allows customers to place orders through the Pizza Hut website, app, or over the phone and drive up through the dedicated pickup lane to grab their order at the window.
In a lawsuit filed with the New York State Supreme Court, third-party delivery giant DoorDash has accused b2b software company Olo of fraudulently charging them higher fees than their competitors. The lawsuit claims that the fees are in breach of their 2017 contract with DoorDash’s Rails and Dispatch platform, which allegedly says that the fees on their orders would never be higher than those charged to competitor delivery platforms.

It s called the Hut Lane, and it s simple. Delish says you have to place order ahead by phone, online, or with their app. You choose the Hut Lane option when you order. Then, you show up and just go to the drive-thru lane and pick up your order. Very easy. Now, you can enjoy your pizza without having to worry about dining inside the restaurant, if you are still not comfortable doing so. Their curbside pick-up option is still also available at many locations.

Pizza Hut parted ways with U.S. Chief Marketing Officer George Felix last Thursday amid a broader retooling of its marketing operations, parent company Yum Brands confirmed to Restaurant Business Magazine.
Felix joined the pizza brand in February 2020 from KFC s global marketing unit as part of a series of executive appointments that also included naming David Graves as chief brand officer and Kevin Hochman as interim president. Graves will now serve as general manager, stewarding all of Pizza Hut s marketing operations, while Georgeanne Erickson will fill the brand officer role, Restaurant Business reported. Lindsay Morgan, previously director of brand communications, will act as CMO.
