Another cruise line is ready to come back.
As companies across the world continue to reopen from the coronavirus lockdown, Holland America has announced its return to the seas. Fans of the cruise line will be able to book trips starting in August 2021. In a press release, the company confirmed that one of its boats, the Eurodam, has four departures from Athens scheduled starting in August. According to the cruise line, it has been working in close coordination with the government of Greece for these sailings.
In an unexpected move, Holland America Line revealed that it will begin doing sailings out of Greece in August. President Gus Antorcha admitted that they might possibly have other sailings available even earlier… and that the line has not yet given up on the idea of sailing to Alaska this summer.

Eurodam will sail four departures out of the port city Piraeus.
Holland America Line has received approval to restart cruising from port city Piraeus, within Athens, Greece, in August with four departures aboard Eurodam, the cruise line announced on Wednesday.
Departing Aug. 15 and 29, the “Idyllic Greek Isles” itinerary features Kotor, Montenegro, plus the Greek isles of Kékira (Corfu), Thíra (Santorini) and Mykonos.
“Ancient Wonders” departs Aug. 22 to explore Haifa, Israel, as well as Náfplion, Mykonos and Rhodes in Greece. Both options can be combined to form a longer, back-to-back 14-day Collectors’ Voyage.
