Lower Valley business evacuated after possible explosives found

Police rope off an area in the Lower Valley where possible explosives were found.
EL PASO, Texas The El Paso police bomb squad was called out Wednesday evening to examine a possible explosive device found at a Lower Valley business which was evacuated.
Authorities confirmed the discovery was made at Willscot, which is located in the 8700 block of Castner, in an industrial area. Police blocked off Castner between Kessler and Diesel.
Willscot, which is a modular office space and storage facility, had its employees evacuated by police and fire crews.

On Monday, the city will have an appointment-free vaccination clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Eastside Sports Complex, 14380 Montwood Drive.

More than 84% of seniors, Leeser said, have received their first dose and nearly 70% of seniors 65 years old and older are fully vaccinated. So, that tells you that our seniors, 65 and over, are almost reaching that part of the population of herd immunity, Leeser said, adding that moving senior vaccination sites has been a key part of making sure El Paso s most vulnerable residents are protected.
