Donegal County Council is inviting further applications under the Covid-19 Emergency Fund.
Donegal LCDC have been allocated €68,130 to be shared among local Community and Voluntary groups as part of the €1.7m national funding pot.
The Council are inviting applications for the Programme which provides funding to support community and voluntary groups to adapt, develop and deal with COVID 19.
The Programme will provide small-scale grants - €1,000 or less - and large scale grants for community groups. It is intended that a minimum of 30% of the grants awarded will be the smaller ones.
Community and Voluntary Groups can submit applications for funding to assist them in adapting their services and operations to fit the new COVID-19 reality.
Minister of State at the Department of Health with responsibility for Public Health, Well Being and the National Drugs Strategy Frank Feighan T.D is lending his support to the Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership Feel Good 5K podcast and training plan to support people to take exercise to improve their health and fitness in 2021 while complying with current Covid-19 Government 5K travel guidelines.
In launching the Feel Good 5K Minister Feighan stated: I want to commend Sligo Sport and Recreation Partnership, and Sligo County Council on this great new initiative. One of my priorities as Minister for Public Health is the implementation of the National Physical Activity Plan, by which we want to increase the number of people taking part in physical activity.

My Wifes Sister has had a Apartment in Lisbon,( the Capital) for over 30 Yrs !!
So Many Holidays here over that Time !!, and Also back in the EU but Not for Much Longer !!??.
Good Country & the Weather !, only thing the Language, but We get by !!.
Had Holidays here when We lived in Oz, 2 wks UK 2 Wks Portugal.
