Public health officials advise nine additional deaths in people with COVID-19 have been reported today including:
• a male in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region;
• a male in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at the Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre;
• a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region;
• a male in his 80s from the Winnipeg health region;
• a female in her 80s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to the outbreak at the Park Manor Care Home;
• a female in her 90s from the Interlake–Eastern health region, linked to the outbreak at the Kin Place;

For a third consecutive day, new case numbers in Manitoba remained below 300 while the province’s death toll topped 500.
Another 272 new cases were added to the provincial total of 21,535 on Tuesday, following Sunday’s 273 and Monday’s 241 a streak of sub-300 numbers that haven’t been seen since late October.

Winnipeg housed 128 of the new cases, followed by 53 cases in Northern Health and 49 in Prairie Mountain. The Southern Health region had 25 additional cases and there were 15 further positives in Interlake-Eastern.
WINNIPEG Manitoba has passed 500 deaths since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic as the province announced nine new fatalities on Tuesday. The death toll is now 508. Seven of the deaths are from the Winnipeg region, including two men in their 70s, one linked to the Saul and Claribel Sinkin Centre, two men in their 80s, one woman in her 80s connected to the outbreak at the Mark manor Care Home, a woman in her 90s from the Charleswood Care Centre and a man in his 90s from the Holy Family Personal Care Home. The other two deaths are women in their 90s, one from the Interlake-Eastern Health Region linked to the Kin Place outbreak and the other is from the Prairie Mountain Health Region connected to the Fairview Home outbreak.
The total number of lab-confirmed cases in the provinces is now 21,023.
Those reported dead Sunday include:
a female in her 70s from the Interlake-Eastern health region, linked to the Kin Place outbreak in Oakbank;
a female in her 60s from the Northern health region;
a male in his 60s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the St. Norbert Personal Care Home;
a female in her 70s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the Charleswood Care Centre;
a male in his 70s from the Winnipeg health region, linked to an outbreak at the N3W unit at Concordia Hospital;
