The tourism industry in one of Western Australiaâs most popular holiday destinations is enduring a two-speed recovery from COVID-19 as visitors from Perth flock to hotels and watering holes but hold back from spending on tours and attractions.
Evan Lewis, managing director of Busseltonâs Broadwater Resort, said the hotel had been full almost every weekend this year and mid-week demand was solid.

Camping and walking fees could be introduced for the picturesque Cape to Cape experience in South West WA to help maintain the track.
A pre-feasibility study for eco-accommodation along stops on the seven-day walk – which stretches about 123 kilometres between Cape Leeuwin and Cape Naturaliste – suggested upgrading the track and installing ablutions, cooking shelters and tent platforms at camp sites paid for with a new fee.
