Jelani Memory still isn’t quite sure how his Portland publishing company got such “a golden stamp of approval.”
But just weeks after the company, A Kids Book About, celebrated its first anniversary, Oprah Winfrey released her annual “Oprah’s Favorite Things” gift guide and included 10 titles from A Kids Book About as part of a focus on Black-owned businesses.
