HIGH COURT AND REGISTRY TO BE HOUSED IN NEW BUILDING
The Dominica High Court and the Registry are expected to be relocated to a new and modernized setting in the first quarter of 2021.
During the passage of Hurricane Maria in 2017, the building which housed the Registry and the country’s High Court was severely damaged.
Minister for National Security and Home Affairs, Honourable Rayburn Blackmoore informed the public that the move will be happening soon.
“In the first quarter of 2021, the Registry inclusive of the Criminal and High Court will be relocated in a modernized setting,” the Security Minister stated.
MINISTRY OF GOVERNANCE INTRODUCES E-PAYMENT PLATFORM
The Ministry of Governance, Public Service Reform, Citizen Empowerment, Social Justice and Ecclesiastical Affairs continues to work to improve service delivery to the public.
In efforts to do so, the Ministry conducted an online customer satisfaction survey, on sight spot checks, physical assessments of government departments and consultations with officers involved in service delivery.
“Results of the online survey highlighted the need for digital access to services and virtual payment systems as one of the priority solutions for improvement in our delivery of services to the public,” stated Minister for Governance, Public Service Reform, Citizen Empowerment, Social Justice and Ecclesiastical Affairs, Honourable Gretta Roberts.
