BET is aiming for the most ambitious team-up since
Avengers: Infinity War.
On Wednesday, the network announced its upcoming series
BET Presents The Encore, a one-of-a-kind music experiment that brings nine artists together to form one R&B supergroup. The featured nine include Shamari DeVoe (Blaque), Irish Grinstead (702), Lemisha Grinstead (702), Nivea Nash, Felisha King (Cherish), Pamela Long (Total), Aubrey O Day (Danity Kane) and Kiely Williams (3LW).
The series will follow the nine women as they write new music, learn choreography, record an album and put on a live performance. None of them know who their new bandmates are beforehand, and they only have 30 days to complete the entire project. Each week, a music industry expert will come in to prepare the group for their debut, such as music producer Kosine

Some of the biggest R&B girl group members of the ’90s and 2000s are coming together to form a new supergroup.
Eight former members of platinum-selling groups including 702, Total, Danity Kane, 3LW, Blaque, and Cherish will take part in BET’s new reality show “BET Presents The Encore,” premiering next month.
The cast includes Pamela Long of Total, sisters Irish and LeMisha Grinstead from 702, Shamari DeVoe of Blaque, Aubrey O’Day of Danity Kane, Kiely Williams of 3LW, and twins Felisha and Fallon King of Cherish, as well as Grammy-nominated singer Nivea, who had a hit in the early 2000s with “Don’t Mess with My Man.”
