‘They’re sabotaging Fenwick and Hadad!’ TTFA staff blamed for normalisation committee blunders
Who is doing more damage to Trinidad and Tobago’s 2022 Qatar World Cup qualifying chances?
Is it the perceived arrogance and ignorance of the Fifa-appointed normalisation committee, headed by Robert Hadad? The eccentric behaviour and questionable decision-making of Men’s National Senior Team head coach Terry Fenwick?
Or the alleged indifference and mean-spiritedness of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) office staff?

The Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Senior Team will concede home advantage in a World Cup qualifying campaign for the first time in 36 years, after Ministry of Health chief medical officer Dr Roshan Parasram ruled that a proposal by the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA) fell short of local Covid-19 regulations.
Dr Parasram has steered clear of public statements on sport, ever since he was criticised by Commissioner of Police Gary Griffith, in July 2020, for refusing to sanction the Commissioner’s Cup youth football tournament.

Fenwick: ‘We didn’t have the big attitude’, T&T coach says players botched game plan in USA mauling
Soca Warriors head coach Terry Fenwick blamed the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association’s (TTFA) inadequate development programme in general and the poor concentration of his players in particular, as the Men’s National Senior Team slumped to a joint national record 7-0 loss last night in friendly action away to the United States in Orlando.
It was Fenwick’s opening game in charge since he was hired in December 2019, on US$20,000 (TT$135,000) per month, and the Warriors fell behind after just one minute and 43 seconds and never recovered. They trailed 4-0 at the half and conceded three more in the opening 17 minutes of the second half.
Fenwick adds 8 N/American players to T&T squad; no space for Cyrus and ‘Lobo’
Trinidad and Tobago Men’s National Senior Team head coach Terry Fenwick introduced three fresh faces into the player pool today as he selected a 24-man squad to face the United States in an international friendly in Orlando on 31 January.
Defenders Michael DeShields and Federico Pena and midfielder Jonathan Jimenez will all join the Soca Warriors set-up for the first time, after being invited to meet the squad in the US. All three are based in North America.

‘Nobody is being told anything!’ Hadad slammed for poor communication and constitutional violations
Trinidad and Tobago Football Referees Association (TTFRA) vice-president Osmond Downer has criticised Fifa-appointed normalisation committee chairman Robert Hadad for either ignoring the local body’s constitution or totally misunderstanding his role within the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association (TTFA).
Hadad and his three-member committee, which includes Judy Daniel and Nigel Romano, replaced the TTFA Board on 27 March 2020 with a specific mandate to: run the TTFA’s daily affairs, establish a debt repayment plan, review and amend the constitution (where necessary), and conduct elections for a new board.
