After losing the latest round in a years-long legal saga arising from the Vancouver Police Department’s attempts to fire a former constable, ex-chief Jim Chu warned of the risk of eroding public trust and emboldening “rogue officers.”
On Thursday, the B.C. Court of Appeal dismissed the appeals of Chu and another former senior VPD officer, who had sought to quash a 2015 complaint levelled against them by the parents of a former cop the department tried to terminate for misconduct.
