Today, most Americans get their water from their sinks or fridge filters, and it travels great distances to get there. On the way, it may pick up chemicals that are harmful to our health if not filtered out properly.
An analysis by the non-profit Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) using 2016 data from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) found that some 18 million Americans were living in areas with unsafe levels of lead in the water. In another report,
USA Today found that 63 million Americans were exposed to unsafe drinking water from 2007-2017. Water pollution issues were also found to disproportionately plague minority and low-income communities.
Gas prices in most Eastern Wisconsin counties are a little bit lower than they were last week.
Manitowoc and Calumet County each reported a one penny drop per gallon of fuel to $2.82 and $2.79 respectively, while Sheboygan, Outagamie, and Brown Counties each fell by two cents. Those counties now sit at $2.80, $2.73, and $2.83 respectively.
Kewaunee and Door County each reported a one penny increase to $2.86 and $2.93 respectively.
The state average also fell by two cents to $2.85, while the national average fell by one cent to $3.03.

She fell in love with the venue after hearing about the renovations ther. I just love the community vibe, she said.
