A COMPREHENSIVE guide to everything East Lothian has been published – just months after the author’s sad death. Mr Fife, 66, who read geography at the University of Edinburgh, was a renowned author on Scottish history with a number of acclaimed books, many focusing on Edinburgh. He died in January this year, following a short illness, just as the book was being prepared for the printer.
