The Comprehensive Health Insurance (SIS) approved the transfer of S/268.7 million (around US$73.9 million) for the financing of medical care and administrative services provided to insured people in Lima and regions throughout the country according to a regulation recently published in the official gazette El Peruano.
Administrative Resolution No. 009-2021/SIS states that the transfer will be made in favor of regional governments in Amazonas, Cajamarca, Huanuco, Huancavelica, Lambayeque, Loreto, Madre de Dios, Pasco, Puno, and Tumbes.
In addition, the money will be provided to Directorates of Integrated Health Networks in Eastern Lima (DIRIS Lima Este) and Southern Lima (DIRIS Lima Sur) to fund medical care services provided to recipients of SIS, emergency transfers (1st transfer), and maternity homes in 2021, within the framework of existing agreements, addenda, and commitments.
