elk migrating near the Gros Ventre roundabout. The line seemed to be a mile long, single file. The elk stopped and gathered at the Gros Ventre River and seemed to âdiscussâ whether to ford the water. Eventually one brave elk went across and the rest followed, again single file.

JACKSON, MI East Jackson Community Schools employees are being recognized for working through the pandemic with a “heroes stipend.”
The East Jackson School Board approved the plan to award 128 school employees up to $375 to recognize their work to make in-person learning “the safest environment possible” during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employees eligible are part- and full-time, including teachers, bus drivers, secretaries, kitchen workers, paraprofessionals and more.
