A disturbing video has been spreading fast across social media in recent days.
The footage shows a Covid-denier accusing East Surrey Hospital medics of holding an elderly patient “hostage”.
He carries on even after a doctor warns that the patient could “drop dead any minute” because his oxygen levels are so low.

Two men were arrested by police today (Thursday, January 28) after a distressing incident at East Surrey Hospital last week involving the abuse of hospital staff. In a statement released this afternoon, Surrey Police, investigating, said that a 45-year-old man from Maidstone, Kent, was arrested and is being detained on suspicion of causing a public nuisance . A second man was also arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of assisting an offender and is also in custody. As the Surrey Comet reported previously, the incident happened last week (Thursday, January 21) when a group of people gained access to the critical care ward at East Surrey Hospital in Redhill to visit a family member and were abusive towards hospital staff while on site.

Police have arrested a maskless Covid denier after he tried to take a dying elderly patient home from an intensive care ward against doctors orders.
Officers from Surrey Constabulary detained Toby Hayden-Leigh, 45, from Maidstone, Kent, on suspicion of causing a public nuisance.
It followed an incident last Thursday where he was joined by a group who refused to wear face coverings in East Surrey Hospital and became abusive towards staff.
Police released an appeal saying they were hunting Hayden-Leigh after videos emerged on social media on Saturday.
A second man was also arrested this afternoon on suspicion of assisting an offender and is also in custody.
