He just didn t realize that an undergraduate degree alone in that discipline would be a professional dead end . something his advisor clearly forgot to mention. He knew I didn t want to go for my master s degree and not once did he bring up that if you don t get a master s, there really isn t a career for you in anthropology. So, upon graduating in 2004, Tangaroa did what people with useless bachelor s diplomas do: entry level work in an unrelated field. Abhorring the frigid Ohio winters, he returned to his previous stomping grounds of San Marcos and worked a couple of lousy piercing gigs and a warehouse job. Two fires have been set in the East Seventh Street food pantry put on by the Red Wing Area Mutual Aid group in the past several weeks. Although the who/why details are unknown, the group urges community members instead to focus on all the good the pantries do. Group administrator Kelly Byers said, “While we do not have a motive as to why this pantry was targeted twice. We can only speculate. We are hopeful that these are isolated incidents. The pantries have helped so many and brought many people together. We would prefer to focus on the good they are doing.”
