New York-based Mint House, billed as an Airbnb-style hospitality concept targeted mainly at business travelers, has opened its first Austin location at The Hatchery, the massive “urban village” being erected on the east side just north of Lady Bird Lake. Mint House is also planning to open a second Austin location on South Congress Avenue this spring, according to a release.

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Thereâs a new way to pay your water bill if youâre someone who likes to pay in-person.
Evansville Water and Sewer Utility officials say customers used to be able to pay at their customer service window at the Civic Center, but it closed earlier this year due to coronavirus.
They still have a kiosk near the Civic Center main entrance. But now there are two more kiosks available to make paying your bill even more convenient.
East Austin s Riverside development would be double the size of Domain A previous rendering of the mixed-used development.
Courtesy rendering A project nicknamed “The Domain on Riverside” is now on steroids. Developers of the newly rebranded River Park mixed-use development in Southeast Austin have expanded the size to 109 acres and more than 10 million square feet. In October 2019, the Austin City Council approved rezoning 97 acres for the project previously known as 4700 East Riverside over objections from critics, including the Defend Our Hoodz group. Opponents complained that the development would contribute to even more gentrification along the East Riverside Drive corridor. Developers of River Park have now tacked on the 12-acre Parke Green retail center, at 1717 S. Pleasant Valley Rd., to the project’s site and have plotted more than 10 million square feet of space. The previous plan for the project envisioned well over 5 million square feet of space.
A major mixed-use development planned along East Riverside Drive in Austin is getting a dozen acres bigger, and the project s cost could top $4 billion, its developers said Monday.
Initially known as 4700 East Riverside, the project has been rebranded with the new name River Park. It is expected to be built in phases over the next 10 to 20 years.
The development, which has drawn opposition from some residents and community members, is increasing from 97 acres to 109 acres, with plans now calling for more than 10 million square feet of new development. Its developers said the cost at full buildout will likely be more than $4 billion, based on 2020 valuations.
