Clemson Athletics completed 5,357 COVID-19 PCR tests on student-athletes and staff from Feb. 12 to Mar. 4, 2021. Thirty-eight individuals received positive results during the three-week period, including 25 student-athletes and 13 staff members, or 0.7% positive.Since June 1, 2020, Clemson student-athletes and athletic staff have completed 38,154 COVID-19 PCR tests, with 308 positive results (211 student-athletes, 97 staff), 0.8% positive, and no hospitalizations.
Tigers Clash in Spring Home Opener
Clemson, S.C. – Fresh off two wins against the College of Charleston, the No. 9 Clemson women’s soccer team (8-4-0, 5-4-0) gets set to host their first of three home games against SEC opponents as Auburn (5-4-3, 3-3-2) makes the trip to Historic Riggs Field. The game is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff on Saturday, March 6th.
This season, the Tigers have been a top performing team when playing on home surface, securing an undefeated mark thus far with four wins to show for it. The Tigers’ defense has been a core asset in this field, only conceding one goal across these games while the high-powered Clemson offense has slotted 10 goals of their own.
2021 Rowing Preview
Clemson, S.C. The Clemson rowing team made its return to the course for the first time in 364 days when it hosted the Carolina Cup on March 6. This season, the Tigers are scheduled to compete in seven races, three of which the Tigers will host. Additionally, Clemson will host the ACC Championship for the 12th consecutive season and 19
th time overall.
The 2020 rowing schedule was canceled on March 12, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic following the conclusion of the Tigers’ first race of the spring season, the Carolina Cup. At the Carolina Cup in 2020, the Tigers posted their best point total since 2017.
